The days are getting shorter and the nights are noticeably cooler at Cloverfield Organic Farm. We change the clock and adjust our regular u-pick hours on Sunday, November 5. Our Winter hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from eleven to four.
There is a chance of a light frost just around the corner. Our Summer crops of tomatoes and squash are almost finished, but a few might still hang on for a few more weeks.
Here are some of the crops we expect to have for visitors to u-pick this time of the year:
arugula, peppers, olives, pak choy, fennel, bay leaves, Kaffir lime leaves, Swiss chard, beets, kale, collard greens, dandelion greens, green onions, rhubarb, lettuce, pea sprouts, persimmons, collard greens, sunchokes, parsley, rosemary, thyme, ginger, calendula flowers, Malabar spinach, and komatsuna.

Come to our little bio-intensive organic farm to taste fresh fruits, flowers, herbs, and vegetables that are grown outdoors in the natural sunlight in microbially-rich soil. Let us know if you are brave and want to sample a taste of Absinthe wormwood.
New plantings we are starting during the late Fall and into Winter are garlic, mustard, peas, spinach, fava beans, cilantro, lettuce, and fenugreek. We are open every week of the year, so as crops are u-picked we have to start new crops growing in their space. We stay open on rainy days, so bring your rainwear if you visit on a rainy day.
We also sell our raw honey, Black Point organic olive oil, organic potted edible plants, and dried herbs and seeds.
We are located at 501 La Paloma Rd., El Sobrante, CA. Free parking is available (as long as we don't get flooding rain). Hope to see you at the farm soon.
