Cloverfield Organic Farm is in a very special micro-climate where we can grow both temperate and sub-tropical fruits. We generally don't get hard frosts, but we do get enough winter chilling for many of the stone fruits. It is exciting during the month of March to see many of the fruit trees in beautiful bloom and the flowers frequented by honey bees and native pollinators.
Every month has ripe fruits (and vegetables) that you can u-pick at Cloverfield Organic Farm.. It is beneficial to our health to eat seasonally; Mother Nature provides us with the proper nutrition our bodies need as we move through the seasons.
Here are some fruiting ripening times at our farm to entice you to come explore:
January to April: Various citrus, including Persian limes, sweet oranges, and Meyer lemons.
May: Sweet cherries and green wild plums.
