Organic Farm Certifications Matter

Our farm, Cloverfield Organic Farm LLC, recently completed our required on-site organic inspections. We are certified by the Real Organic Project and the Organic Crop Improvement Association. We have been USDA organic certified since July 2012.

This year we certified USDA organic by the Organic Crop Improvement Association, OCIA. We are transitioning from CCOF to OCIA as our USDA organic certifier because we believe that OCIA upholds higher organic standards and OCIA doesn't certify any confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs) or hydroponics. Our farm has our horse on open pasture and we grow all our crops outdoors, under the sun. in microbially-rich organic real-soil. Everything we do and practice is 'organic'. We invite wild nature to interact with our farm and we don't use any harmful chemicals anywhere on our farm property or in contact with our crops.

We recently passed our OCIA certification and we've updated most of our farm signage.

We also are proud to be certified by the Real Organic Project. The Real Organic Project is an add-on certification that further demonstrates our commitment to the best of organic farming practices.

Our product labels and nursery plant labels will now feature both of the certifications that we have proudly earned.

Here are our two organic certificates:
