We welcome you to come join us at our next organic farming workshop on Thursday, January 16, from 11 am to 2 pm at our farm. In addition to our weekly customer visits and u-picks on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at Cloverfield Organic Farm, we hold seasonal workshops where we invite volunteers to come out to the farm and help us with seasonal chores. Our volunteer farming workshops are educational and a fun experience for everyone. All ages and abilities are encouraged to attend.
At this year's winter workshop we expect to be doing grapevine pruning, grape propagation, and dormant fruit tree pruning and care. We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities and will provide you with instructions and tools. Light snacks and bottled drinking water will also be provided.
If you have them, please bring your own garden gloves, hand pruners, and/or loppers. Please dress for the weather and we will work outside whether its rainy or sunshiny. We have free parking, but remember to park on high ground or at the sides of our driveway as the center open area can become muddy and not suitable for driving or parking. We'll set up traffic cones, if needed, to help keep you out of the muck.
